CLOWN, COMMUNITY AND CONSTELLATIONS
Emerson Village, Forest Row, East Sussex
Monday 18 October to Friday 22 October 2010
Facilitators:
Vivian Gladwell and Sharon Usher
with Judith Hemming on 21-22 October
Wherever we go and whether we know it or not,
we are carrying stories, about family and friends, about relationships
at work and in our community. Sometimes one or more of these stories
get stuck. Constellations offers a simple and beautiful way of un-sticking
some of our stories – through the very simple use of space
and observation.
By being present, playful and connected to ourselves, we unravel
our relationships to others.
This course offers a space to play and explore our stories about
family and friends, about relationships at work and in our community.
Judith Hemming from www.movingconstellations.com
will join us for 2 out of the 5 days. Together we will research
what voices can be given to the clown within the work of systemic
constellations.

What the course offers
You will be introduced to the principles of systemic constellations
and to clowning. We will witness how stories emerge in the living
spaces between actors and audience, how the clown offers a redemptive
quality and how constellations can address our stories safely and
personally.
Both clowning and constellations invite us to enter the unknown,
to connect to the world with our emotions and to explore what it
means to be human. We unravel the sense of our relationships to
others simply through being present, playful and connected to ourselves.
The course offers a space to play and explore your stories –
lightly, playfully and with depth.

psychotherapist and as a teacher in broader education. Judith trained
in constellations work with its founder, Bert Hellinger, and others
in the early 1990s. She has since become a leading expert in systemic
