Man only plays when he is in the fullest sense of the word a human being, and he is only fully a human being when he plays.

Friedrich Schiller

Clowning creates a social playground in which to explore our humanity. It is a state of openness that allows us to experience a child-like, naive and vulnerable state of being. Paradoxically we grow, learn and are strengthened through playfully reconnecting with what makes us most vulnerable. This approach to clowning is not a technique (no tricks, gags, or routines) but is a personal journey towards finding and celebrating one’s unique way of being through listening and becoming receptive. This “playshop” is about liberating ourselves from the “shoulds” and “should nots” that constrain our natural capacity to be authentic, playful, and creatively fulfilled.

No experience needed! You do not need to be funny!

Open to everyone 16 and over.
