CRAFTING TRANSFORMATIVE STORIES THROUGH CLOWNING

Step into a world of play and improvisation to uncover the stories waiting within you. How can we re-imagine our stories? This two-day in-person course invites us to explore the art of storytelling through clowning, movement, humor, and play. 

This course is about slowing down, embracing the quiet spaces within ourselves and finding stories that may surprise or even redefine us. This is a journey towards embracing freedom in the unexpected, dancing with vulnerability, and turning life’s challenges into uplifting and transformative narratives.

Together, we will engage in simple games and clown impros that encourage us to access our own creativity towards resilience, humanity, lightness, and joy.

No prior experience in comedy, clowning or performance is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

No prerequisites.  Experienced and beginners welcome.

Facilitators: 

Angie Foster

Angie is a clowning facilitator, actress, director and educator.  She trained with Vivian Gladwell and is on the team of Nose to Nose of North America.  She has facilitated clowning workshops in the Philadelphia area, in California, and elsewhere in the U.S. as well as in Switzerland. She teaches co-workers regularly at the Academies of Kimberton Hills and Beaver Run Camphill communities. 

She trained first as a classical actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.  She has performed on and off Broadway.  She did years of experimental theater with Andre Gregory.  Other trainings include Spacial Dynamics and Gestalt. She taught Drama and directed plays in the high school at Kimberton Waldorf School for 28 years.  This form of clowning combines her passion for improvisation and theatre, her quest for what it is to be human, and discovering freedom through play.

Your deposit is REFUNDABLE  MORE than 2 months before the start of the course. There is a $40 admin fee for refunds.  If the course is cancelled your deposit will be refunded in full.

Once your deposit has been accepted, we will notify you to confirm your place on the course.
