COURSE GUIDELINE

see all course dates

Introductory - 1 or 2 days

This playful and light introduction celebrates presence and the unexpected as the grounding for clowning. It offers an ideal opportunity to experience our work before embarking on a longer course.

Special theme weekends - 2 or 3 days

These cross-disciplinary research projects aim to look at what insights clowning can gain from or bring to such disciplines as conflict management, biography, ecology, meditation, storytelling, therapy etc. Beginners and experienced people in either discipline are welcomed.

Ongoing weekends - 4 to 6 weekends in the year

By giving time to digest and reflect on the work at the rate of a weekend a month, this formula brings greater depth and maturity to how one assimilates the work. As the group remains the same throughout, each weekend can build on the previous weekend.

Intensive residential courses - one week at 7 hours/day

A residential course provides an ideal opportunity to submerge yourself completely in the world of clowning. Courses also offer different levels of experience from level 1 to 3 (see Nose to Nose progression).

Courses outside the UK

Nose to Nose also runs workshops in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and the US. If you cannot find a course, please ask and we can advise you on how to set up courses in your country.

Note that all our courses are limited to 12 people unless otherwise stated.
